We treat tooling as a process where, in many cases, reversion after tool manufacture is not justified with regard to the project’s financial frame. We are mindful of this and therefore focus our efforts on the development phase. To ensure perfection of the tool manufacturing our systematic care for precise interpretation of previous phases is taken, and consequently, the integration of all constructive solutions and best practice is assured.
When constructing our tools for plastic injection, the following development phases are observed:
Determination of tool type (cavities number, system of cavities, plates system)
Determination of runner system (selection and integration of that system to achieve a minimum drop in pressure when connecting machine nozzle and mould cavity)
Selection of tempering (cooling construction for the effective outflow of excess heat generated during the injection process, the stationary temperature field inside the mould is requested)
Determination of ventilating system (the optimal air and gases venting from mould cavities)
Construction of ejection system (determination of the appropriate elements for optimal ejection of the product)
Establishment of guiding, centring and fixation systems (here we give consideration to retrieving of both mould plates and to the optimal transfer of forces)
Tool manufacturing (our tools are manufactured using the latest technologies, such as Sink EDM (Electro Discharge Machining) or Wire EDM, etc.).
When designing tools, a 3D model and other 2D drawings are generated.
Clamping Force Calculator
Clamping force refers to the force applied to a mold by the clamping unit of an injection molding machine. In order to keep the mold closed, this force must oppose the separating force, caused by the injection of molten plastic into the mold. The required clamping force can be calculated from the cavity pressure inside the mold and the shot projected area, on which this pressure is acting. The calculated tonnage can be used to select a capable machine that will prevent part defects, such as excessive flash.
